The AG Stadtteilkultur is a working group of people who want to get involved in the Cotta district. It deals with urban planning and urban development, monument protection, the history of the district, its people and buildings and other topics. With the working group, we want to network and support existing initiatives in the district together with interested Cotta citizens.
We meet regularly every 4th Wednesday of the month from 17:00 to 19:00 in the Neues Volkshaus Cotta.
You can also read about our commitment in the article by Matthias Weigel in the current issue of the magazine "Westwind", page 21: https://kirchspiel-dresden-west.de/westwind

The contact exchange for people interested in leisure activities in Dresden's 60plus neighborhood
Newly retired and full of energy? But lacking the right company for your leisure time? That doesn't have to be the case!
At our leisure dating service, you can meet other people over 60 and talk about your interests, such as sport, culture, nature or creative pursuits. You have 7 minutes per person. If the chemistry is right, you will soon be doing activities together.
Be brave, try new things and get to know interesting people!
In brief:
- 4-10 participants
- 7 minutes of conversation time per person
- discreet evaluation and information
- not a singles exchange
The event is a cooperation with the Neues Volkshaus Cotta.
About the project:
The Dresdner Nachbarschaft 60plus project offers events primarily for people approaching retirement. Joint excursions, breakfast meetings and themed events are the core of the project. People over 60 get to talk to each other, gain new experiences and implement their own ideas.
The Dresdner Nachbarschaft 60plus project is funded by the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth and the European Union via the European Social Fund PLUS (ESF Plus) as part of the "Strengthening the participation of older people - against loneliness and social isolation" program.
The project continues to be funded by the Social Welfare Office of the City of Dresden.

Telemach Wiesinger is a 'traveler with a camera'. On his FILM POEM TOUR, he creates a direct interaction between filmmaker and audience with his film camera and image projector. His films show Europe and are visual poems as well as travelogues showing port cities, mechanical artifacts and bizarre encounters. The 16 mm camera, as a 'travel typewriter', offers experiences that only cinematography can provide: images in black and white, accompanied by the characteristic whirring of the projectors - 'free the ring for illusions'.
Telemach Wiesinger (1968) is a photographer and filmmaker. His films are shown - away from the commercial entertainment film business - at international film festivals, in art museums and galleries as well as in excellent art house cinemas. His film works are art and invite interested audiences to discover them for themselves outside the mainstream.
Sunday, 11.05. 10:00 to 14:00

Tuesday, 06.05. 10:00-12:00 h
In this workshop, we will show you how old cine films - such as Super 8 or Normal 8 - can be professionally digitized. Digitizing these analogue treasures is an important step in protecting precious memories from decay and making them accessible for future generations.
You will learn how to use the right technology to transfer cine films into a modern digital format so that image quality is retained and simple archiving and playback on current devices is possible.
You are welcome to bring your own cine films!
During the workshop, you will have the opportunity to have your film material digitized on site or to start an individual digitization process.
Exhibition format: "Seen like this."
Vernissage on Wednesday, 07.05. at 17:00

The HausBoden museum project is a unique and rich project to preserve the cultural heritage of the district and to strengthen cultural life in Cotta.
The exhibition is always open on Wednesdays from 14:00 to 17:00.
Admission is free.
