Located in the heart of Cotta, we offer rooms and mobile workspaces for people not only for the neighborhood, for social associations or for educational work, but also for the cultural and creative industries (KKW).

On 350 square meters within the old walls of the Volkshaus, we create a flexible working environment with the innovative power of a cultural and creative industry hub, enhanced by five aspects

  • User: internally developed,
  • understood as an integral part of the neighborhood,
  • with tools and work areas for smaller productions directly in or around the building,
  • accessible and co-designable offers for residents,
  • as a spatialization of future culture, with a focus on sustainable change, new work and learning of the future.

At the Neues Volkshaus Cotta, you will find the essence of New Work: it is diversity! It is mixing. It is an encounter with other skills, opinions, age groups and backgrounds. It is community. And there are opportunities that arise through the joint process around the equipment, the space and the means of production. In such a setting, individual work can pulsate. Value is created - both financial and beyond.

A maximum of 7 creative professionals can set up their creative space in the form of open studio areas on a total area of 120 square meters.
Daylight on the north, west and east side through really many windows, with barrier-free access from the inner courtyard - delivery to the doorstep possible! Designed as a multifunctional workspace, the LOFT is the core of our spatial flexibility. A co-working space for artists has been created here with a maximum of 7 open studio spaces. 3 studio spaces are currently rented.

Katja Seyfarth and Marre Schindler's ceramics workshop has moved into the studio.

Matthias Willomitz's recording studio is located here.

There is a studio in the dialog room where the visual artist Victoria Gentsch has rented space.

All warehouses and garages are currently let.
If you are still interested, you are welcome to put your name on a waiting list.

Rent & conditions

The room rent depends on:

> Are you from the neighborhood or are you a business person?
> Do you need the room for 2 hours or 4 hours, once, weekly or monthly?
> And what room size do you actually need for your project?

Give us a call on 0178-961 76 83 or drop by during our office hours on Wednesdays from 3 to 6 pm or write to us at: mitmachen@neuesvolkshaus.de.

You rent the room for a fixed period of time.
After the rental agreement has been signed by both parties, you will receive a key and can make specific arrangements with us.
At the end, you clean the room used and return the key.
You transfer the rent to the account (see rental agreement) before using the room(s).
